Bluebonnets

Ah.....the sure sign of spring is the blooming of bluebonnets.  Bluebonnets are a member of the Lupine family.  There are actually  five different varieties prominent through-out the regions of Texas.  All five of these are state flowers of Texas.  The one shown here is Lupinus texenis.  They blanket the Texas pastures and roadsides with a wave of purple blue.  I see them and immediately feel better.  I just want to lay on the grassy, cool ground and bask in their beautiful aroma.
Where ever you are, I hope they make you feel better too!
Blessings!
